An animal is an individual animal registered in Kinkeep.
Animal profile

| Birth date | Used to calculate age |
| Chip number | Microchip ID for identification |
| Description | Free-text field for any relevant notes about the animal |
| Photo | Profile picture |
Animal timeline
Every animal has a personal timeline showing all their entries in reverse chronological order. The timeline can be filtered by entry type:
- Medical visits
- Weight measurements
- Notes
- Media (photos and files)
Weight tracking
When weight entries are recorded over time, Kinkeep displays the current weight and the trend (gain, loss, or stable) compared to the previous measurement.
Upcoming events
The animal page shows the next vet appointments and active prescription schedules within the coming 60 days.
